As of 15 February 2023, Brunei Darussalam has updated the Nation’s COVID-19 control measures.

Megamas (KB and BSB) is operating as usual following all the guidelines from Brunei Government in order to continue supporting all industries, especially the Oil and Gas industry.

Please ensure to follow all of the control measures as listed in the Brunei Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) website.

Is Megamas still running courses?

Yes, Megamas is still running courses.

We have implemented controls in order to minimise the risk exposed to our clients and staff, in accordance with the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), Brunei Ministry of Health (MOH) and SHENA directives and guidelines.

What Precautions are in place?
  1. Wearing of Face Masks is now optional except for individuals showing COVID-19 symptoms.
  2. We are continuously monitoring the water quality in the pool on a daily basis to ensure chlorine levels remain within parameters.
  3. We will be increasing the frequency of the external biological tests on our pool water to bi-monthly.
  4. Megamas common areas are being disinfected at regular intervals throughout the day.
  5. All Megamas classrooms are being disinfected at the end of the day.
  6. Hand wash areas are provided throughout Megamas.
  7. People who have been out of the country may only attend training after completing their isolation period (if required by the Brunei Government).
Is the pool safe?

Megamas training pool is chlorinated, which basically means it is a body of disinfectant. The Chlorine in the pool has been diluted so that it is safe for people, while still being effective in killing all forms of bacteria / virus.

The Chlorine levels within the pool are monitored at multiple times during the day to ensure that they are within acceptable levels. We are now doing additional biological tests via an external lab on the pool water to ensure that the water remains safe.

Will I still be able to pray at Megamas?  

Yes, praying areas are still available at Megamas.

If I am under self-monitoring / ISOLATION, can I still attend courses?

No, you are not allowed to attend any courses at Megamas if you are still under self-monitoring / isolation.
