This course is for scaffolders who have at least 6 months site experience and require further training to progress towards competence for the safe erection, alteration and dismantling of intermediate scaffold structures. The candidates will be educated and trained on the correct and safe methods of erecting, altering and dismantling independent scaffolds incorporating prefabricated beams, loading bays, splays, protection fans and cantilever sections, as well as the work methods to be adopted.

Participants will be able to identify correctly material requirements, interpretation of simple drawings, manipulate material in scaffolding erection and ensure that scaffolds are constructed following safe systems of work.
