This course aims to provide personnel from different job roles with an introductory knowledge of rigging and lifting operations. This includes the safe use of equipment, BSP standards, policies and procedures and the roles of all people involved with a lift.

Participants will be educated on the Government and Shell regulations governing rigging and slinging, the risk assessment necessary for the activity and the roles of all personnel involved in the activity. Participants will also be educated on the BSP colour code system and basic introduction and awareness on storage and maintenance of lifting tackle, lifting Appliances, tackle and equipment.
