This course is designed to realise the formal training requirements of the Competence Assurance Standard for an Authorised Gas Tester. This course also includes assessments of competence as well as usage of the PTW system in relation to gas testing.

Participants will be trained in the identification, behaviour and characteristics of main gases that may be encountered at their location or worksite, correct usage of gas testing equipment for monitoring and identification for various gases which includes hazards associated with gas freeing as well as other related duties fo the Authorised Gas Tester.

The course includes a written knowledge assessment.
