The course ensures that all staff designated as Fire Wardens in offices understand their roles in an emergency or fire related incident and fulfil the routine/daily responsibilities of Fire Wardens in a competent manner.
Participants will be trained in the actions and procedures to perform in the event of a fire-related incident, which includes the operation of fixed and portable fire-fighting equipment in the office area.
Participants are also trained to assist in escape from smoke-filled environments, conducting a pre-evacuation check and securing the office areas for evacuation as well as assisting the Headcount Supervisors in their tasks.
The course includes a written knowledge assessment.
