This course is a refresher for the Proficiency Survival Craft training course, in order to gauge their proficiency in the usage of survival crafts and rescue boats other than fast rescue boats.

Participants will be trained to take charge of survival crafts during and after launch, as well as the operation of the survival craft engine. Participants will also be trained to manage survival crafts and survivors after abandoning ship and the usage of locating devices, including communication and signaling apparatus and pyrotechnics.

Participants will also be trained to apply first aid to survivors as well as the application of protection against hypothermia and other dangers facing ship abandonment survivors.
